On Episode 11, Jesse MacBeth joins the podcast to discuss the current state of the Union.
I have a question that you guys might be able to clarify for me.

What is the origin of the Union name?
.
This may sound simple but looking into it, things became a little more convoluted. To confuse things even more, this was all spurred by the Union theme song that you open your podcast with.
.
I know ‘officially’ there was a fan vote in 2008 which chose the name based on Union of the 13 Colonies.
.
But here’s the kicker, they were also the Union FC back in 2001 when they were going to be in Trenton before Keystone Sports took the reigns. (Union wikipedia page)

This leads me to believe that it was closer in meaning to the theme song. (cue xfiles.mp3 drop)

Anybody have any further knowledge on it?
